Wausau Pride, in its third year, needed to strengthen its overall image as it aimed to become a signature event for Wisconsin. Despite rising participation and interest, the event lacked enough high-quality visuals to showcase its family-friendly, community-driven atmosphere. There was a common misconception that outsiders planned the event, when in reality, local residents shaped it. To continue growing and attracting diverse crowds, it was crucial to highlight the event’s unique spirit and ensure its values and purpose were clearly communicated.

To capture the vibrant energy of Wausau Pride, the video needed to be high-energy, fun, and truly reflective of the event’s lively atmosphere. The goal was to document every key moment as it unfolded, creating content that highlighted the heart of the celebration. A talented photographer (Maihlee Yang) was brought on board to complement the video by providing dynamic photo content, ensuring a comprehensive media package that could be repurposed for future promotions. With a focus on both candid moments and crowd interactions, the video and photo content were designed to showcase the community’s diversity and excitement.

The final delivery included a full event recap video, several social media-friendly clips in both vertical and horizontal formats, and a robust library of stills and video footage for future use. The content effectively captured the spirit of Wausau Pride, allowing the event organizers to share the experience with the community long after the celebration. The photos and videos helped build buzz around the event and will continue to serve as evergreen content for promoting future Wausau Pride celebrations.
